Poised high above Charlotte Amalie and just a five minute drive to town, the Bellagio Estate commands views of the harbor and deep blue Caribbean. Set behind a gate, the property offers 1.6 acres of spacious and spectacular grounds.

The former home of a U.S. Ambassador, the home was built in 1960 and offers historic charm. Indeed, the estate boasts character and colorful island stories having hosted such guests as the Kennedy's, Jimmy Carter, Harrison Ford and the Governor of the Virgin Islands.

The property consists of two separate homes plus a two bedroom cottage, all surrounded by beautifully landscaped tropical gardens complete with mature exotic trees such as mango, papaya, bamboo and towering palms.

The focal point and center of the property is the expansive swimming pool complete with slide. The deck area offers an outdoor shower, gas grill as well as wet bar. Just a short stroll from the pool area is the private tennis court with basketball net at one end.

The Upper Villa offers an expansive outdoor living area decorated in crisp white. A powder room and kitchen are located just off this living area.

Bedroom #1 is tucked away on a small patio with palms just outside the kitchen and offers a double sized bed and private bath. At the opposite side of the patio and just down a corridor are three more bedrooms and two baths. Bedrooms #2 and #4 have king sized beds and Bedroom #2 offers two twins. All of these bedrooms are nicely decorated and air-conditioned.

Down a flight of steps on the garden level and near the pool deck, is Bedroom #5 which offers a king sized bed and air-conditioning.

All of the villa's bedroom suites are equipped with cable TV's and some offer private sitting areas as well.

Bellagio's lower villa is set down a flight of stairs from the main house.
The lower level offers a living/dining area, another full kitchen and lovely town and harbor views. A covered deck overlooks the pool and is located just off this living area and is the perfect spot for napping in the shade.
Bedrooms #6 and #7 are located adjacent to this living area and are fully air-conditioned. Both of these bedroom suites are furnished with classic mahogany pieces and designed with a touch of old world elegance. Each bathroom offers full marble and gold tipped fixtures which are originally from when the home was built. A very private patio off these bedrooms provides a secluded spot for quite reflection.
